DROD RPG 2 is out, but as with all things it wasn't perfect. We now have a 2.0.3 patch for Windows. This can be applied to both the full version and demo version.

What's new in 2.0.3?

I would like the Steam version to be this version on release, as these bugs have mostly come from issues people found while playing the main hold, and it would be nice for people to not encounter these.

The Steam version comes out tomorrow, so would be nice to not wait a few days!

slimm tom has also posted the Mac builds in the private forum. Did you see them? Would be nice to not have the demo beta still around on the downloads page. Would be nicer still to have the mac version on steam on the day of release, if we can.

I've posted the patch on the Downloads page.

I've built and released the Steam Windows version. I'm calling it 2.0.1.966, including all the fixes up to this point. I can release .exe patches at any time. Just let me know when you want them.

Working on Mac versions next.

* Removed the Mac beta demo from the Downloads page and placed the release demo.
* Updated the CaravelGames site with new Mac demo and order links

I'd like to make the demos available on Steam. I haven't configured anything for these yet, and I can't remember how long these take to prepare. For now, please direct them here for the demo version.

Another batch of fixes in up in 2.0.2, with the Windows patch available now from the top post.

Note that you can only apply this patch to a non-Steam installation of the game.

Hyperme, I assume if a new steam build is produced it will be with all the latest changes too so is it worth a 2.0.3 to bring them into line with each other?

We probably need to consider merging 1.3 branch into master and make a new branch for future rpg changes so we can keep a steady point for all the builds. Its risky for highscore verification for Steam, the spider, Caravel, and mac builds to all be based on different commits.

We could work with git tags to at least make it easier to track exact versions and run builds for those versions.

To celebrate the merge of the rpg-1.3-dev branch being merged back to the master branch, version 2.0.3 is now available from the top post. It's a few UI fixes plus a crash fix.
