I'm not proposing a script command, but rather something like the "visible" checkbox. Although rather than a checkbox, it might be best to have it able to pick between three options:
-Always (the default option)
-Only when room is uncleared
-Only when room is cleared

If feasible, maybe there could be one more option where you select a variable and it appears depending on the results of a comparison with that variable. This is maybe too complex, but it's a situation that would come up a lot.

This would mostly be a convenience to save an If statement, but implementing it could also be used to fix an issue with scripted characters and pressure plates. When a regular monster is on the pressure plate at the start of the room, the plate is held down, and if the room is cleared, the plate isn't held down.
There's no simple way to replicate this with a character. If they start out visible and you make them disappear when the room is clear, then the plate starts held down and gets ready to pop up when they disappear. If they start out invisible and the script makes them appear, the plate gets pressed when they appear.
Setting this up as a separate option would make it easier to have custom monsters that behave the same way as regular monsters in this regard.
