Like, where is the building that Beethro finds Jobus in? We know that it's somewhere that he can get to from the Grand Library easily enough that the narrative can completely skip over the walk.

But after getting the address, the only way to reach that place is through an option upon exiting the Library. If you try to go south of the gossiper room, or back into the tunnel hub, or even into any of the available houses, Beethro doesn't do anything different regardless of whether he's already talked to First Librarian. He even says there's nothing for him to do in the direction of the Naming Office.

The best theory I can come up with is that while Beethro was at Lowest Point, someone excavated a new passage in one of the Uncturages. But even that seems far-fetched.

I envisioned the Hub Level and main four levels of FtFT being in some kind of disused or little-used research facility, separate from the City some fair distance away, probably accessed via the tunnel hub once Beethro knows where he's going.

As to why there are so many guards in the guard level, it's probably a field trip by one particular brigade looking to do practical tactics training in a dungeon setting or somesuch.

The final couple of levels are likely closer to the tunnel network itself.
