I've been curious about this for a little bit now, but I haven't found what I'd say is a solid answer. How exactly does one go about making a level style mod, anyway?

It's in a separate directory with all the other configuration and user data stuff.

Exactly where depends on platform, but the ones I think I know are:

Windows (standalone): C:\ProgramData\Caravel\drod-5_0
Windows (Steam): similar but under My Documents apparently
Mac: Library/Application Support/Caravel
