If you're to solve the trapdoor puzzle, you will need to get to one of the entrances from inside the maze itself, and then go back in from that same entrance, and there's only one entrance where this is impossible.

And if you can't solve it because the wraithwing is blocking your path, think long and hard whether the red doors really matter anymore at that point.
