Some holds are made for experienced players.

Other holds are made for novice players.

This hold was made for five-year-old players.

I should probably mention here that, not only is this hold made for five year old players, but it was thoroughly beta tested by a five year old girl who absolutely loved it (though I had to help a little.) Thanks again to skell and Nuntar for making this. It was a lot of fun to play through as a family. To any of you who either have kids yourself or have young family members in the 5 to 6 age range, I'd heartily recommend trying this one out with them. It's very kid friendly (though, fair warning, it is possible for Beethro to die). And the difficulty level is just about right for kids who are still learning how to do type things in on a computer and such.

What a lovely little hold!

I'm not a five-year old, nor did I feel willing to nab one off the street to see how they enjoyed these puzzles. But having known multiple five-year olds, and having once been a five-year old, this hold feels right up their alleyway.

No lengthy text, no tedious tutorials, nothing that would put off a small child (or an old adult). Why can't more beginner holds be like this?

I would suggest installing the "Roaches of Fluff" mod before letting an actual five year old play this.

My five-year-old niece visited me today - she does tend to pick things up quickly.

I launched DROD, ran through the first part of the Tutorial with her, and then started this hold. With some verbal assistance, she was able to clear these rooms by herself before her attention span dwindled.

Very nice hold. I also finally understood how those ball-on-a-chain things work from trying this hold.

This is awesome as a beginner friendly hold, without spelling things out for the player explicitly like the built in tutorial hold does.
