Funny… because I recently had THE EXACT SAME IDEA! From what I’ve seen on the game page, the Polish version is not here/ready for now (I mean, apparently this game is VERY LARGE text-wise, so…)… does this mean you’re still working on it, Deiran? (If yes, then I am backing out - and sorry for trying to meddle with others’ work. Also SHOULD I HAVE quoted the original message which I am replying TO?
EDIT: A message for Deiran (AGAIN): If you are in charge of Polish translation for Heroine’s Quest… did you know there is also a GUIDEBOOK/OFFICIAL WALKTHROUGH for it on the Crystal Shard website? (It’s a PDF booklet) And if you knew… did you translate it/are you translating it along with the game? If not… then I could "take over" for the translation of the manual… I mean help you in that regard… of course if the Crystal (Shard) Council (the game creators ) grants me permission!

Unfortunately, I haven't heard from Deiran in several years (note that his message here is from nine years ago), and he has not shared any of his work-in-progress with me. So as far as I'm concerned, the game's Polish translation is not being worked on, and is open to a volunteer.

Well, if the "position" is OPEN, then I am up to the challenge! But before we move on to the main event… I need to be evaluated on my skills, right? Meaning: translate a shorter game. I’ve already browsed the list of games on your website, and it seems that the following don’t have a Polish version yet (aside from HQ, of course):
1. Sub Terra Draconis
2. Larry Lotter
3. Infinite Monkeys
4. Oceanspirit Danish
5. A Tale of Two Kingdoms
6. Leylines
Now the question is: do YOU impose on ME which of these I should translate or do I have the right to choose… and which of these are ACTUALLY "short games"? Before I posted my first message here, I actually sent you an email, so you do already have my email adress (natalia.rys@poczta.onet.pl). In that mail I mentioned that I would import the script file into a translation program (commonly known as a CAT tool) and translate it. Well… seems to be a BAD IDEA, because these work as follows: when generating a target file/final translation, they delete the original text (luckily NOT the programming code/tags) and replace it with translations! (Unless that can be avoided; I am figuring that out) And apparently the way AGS translations work is that I am supposed to add the translated lines UNDER /inbetween the original ones…? Without deleting the originals…? Because these the game uses as reference…?(Basically, there is a bit of cris-crossing, and the resulting file should be bilingual??) Luckily, Adventure Game Studio (I have ver. 3.6.0 , if I recall) seems to have a translation editor built in. Sorry for the wall of text and feel free to correct me if I am wrong! 😂
