I'm playing Heroine's Quest as a Rogue going for a low honor score. I'm trying to get the eye from Aurvandel in Fornsigtuna, but he won't talk to me because my honor is too low. I don't think I can get either the secret code for the chest or the eye from him. Is there any way for me to get the eye and win the game without raising my honor?

In the most recent version (1.2.1), Aurvandel should still speak to you regardless of honor.

Unless you're carrying a certain cursed object, of course, in which case you've got other problems

I checked the version, and I am running 1.2.1. And I haven't taken the cursed ring. Yet, anyway -- it does seem like a dishonorable thing to do.

But I've done just about every dishonorable deed. Not even Snorri is talking to me. You know you're a low-life scum when even Snorri is too good for you!

So am I stuck?

I've tested it and you seem to be correct; it turns out I've fixed this only for some circumstances and not all. Sorry about that, I'll have to fix this. I hope you have an earlier saved game?

Well, I figured out I missed losing honor by refusing the quest at the beginning of the game, so I'll have to restart anyway to go for lowest honor. (Suggestion: don't allow bypassing that decision with right-click!).
