Greetings, everyone! Welcome to the not at all official compilation of all things DROD related that exist on YouTube! At first I thought about just compiling all the let's plays and walkthroughs I could find, but I decided to extend this compilation to all sorts of videos after finding some neat things.

The videos in this post are neatly sorted for your convenience by:
1) What kind of video it is.
2) Name of the user who uploaded the video.
3) The series this video is in (i.e. what game or hold is featured in the video).
If the video is a part of a series I will provide a link to a playlist, if available.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:
I'm gonna make a distinction between regular let's players who play DROD occasianally and DROD let's players, and keep the latter in the second post from now on. I mean the trird post. But it's my second... whatever.

So you're wondering what my totally objective method of distinguishing those two groups of let's players is? Those who had played (and finished!) more than 6 DROD holds belong to the "DROD let's players" group. Good enough I guess.

      This video is in russian, DROD part starts at about 8:10. He starts with Webfoot DROD, then talks about DROD: AE, KDD 2.0, JtRH, TCB and GatEB.
      I wouldn't call this a review, it's more like a recommendation. The author of the video basically talks about how DROD is a good game, hardest puzzle game ever made, but never actually explains what he likes about it or even goes into any detail at all. "DROD: TCB is a newer game than JtRH. It is harder. It has some new elements. Yep, that's about it." Still, I found the video kinda funny.

You may also want to place age-appropriateness rating. Remember, there are children as young as 10 and 8 roaming the forum. Like when Pearls kills the Slayer in JtRH he places an F bomb before destroying him.

What? I didn't know you could place bombs in DROD! And there were plenty in the room already, why would you need another one?

Okay, okay, joking aside, I totally can do that, but I'll need some help with that, as I don't have time to watch those videos. I'll be very grateful if you or anyone else can help me find videos that contain swearing.

I would actually say that we don't need age ratings. Here's why:

1. A lot of videos on YouTube aren't appropriate for younger age groups because of swearing or inappropriate content. Looking at the 'Popular in the UK' section, I'd be wary about showing an 8 year old the majority of those, and some of those I definitely wouldn't show. So I think that one isolated (I think) case of the f-word being used by Pearls shouldn't really prevent Pearls from being an appropriate channel to watch. Maybe he could just have a warning at the start of that particular video.

2. Relative amount of 8 year-olds watching. Because, unfortunately, DROD videos don't get much attention, it is unlikely that an 8 year-old will actually watch DROD videos. Let's take the example of Pearls again. His average number of views over his last 10 videos is around 110 I'd think. There are 8.5 thousand registered members, the number of whom who were 8 or younger when Pearls' video in question was released probably doesn't even stretch above 25 (at a guess). What are the chances of a very young person watching that video? Very small. What are the chances of them being affected by that? Even smaller.

Really good points. Also consider the percentage of 8-10 year olds who are actually going to think "ooh, this video has bad words, I won't watch it" as compared to the ones who will put it first on their list. Rating everything is going to be a high cost for not much benefit.

I've appeared in a few of CM's videos before, but only in holds I'd previously played, so I didn't want to spoil any of the solutions for him. This, on the other hand, is a hold neither of us had previously played, so we agreed to solve the puzzles cooperatively This is a new style of DROD LPing, but it was great fun and I think we'll do another hold in this style soon! (I already have an idea which one, but I'm not saying anything.)

and was a little disappointed that he seems to have stopped playing.

It's been lots of fun to watch CrimsonMoon, JeffRay and Nuntar cooperatively play through The Goblin.

It's been so long that I'd forgotten most of the rooms.
