If it's not, it's likely that you updated the TSS hold and now your progress is all messed up. I believe there's some help in the bugs forum on how to update the TSS hold without the map being screwed up.

Flower Bed is completely optional. You need to revisit a location you've already been.

He gave you a Portable Orb. Go to the Entrance room in the forest and you'll be able to use it to open a door. You might start at the exit.

What portable orb do (and can i keep it forever)? I completely missed this info/cutscene

The only thing the Portable Orb does is open a specific door in the Entrance to House in the Forest (and this leads to another portion of the level, allowing you to finally get rid of that brain).

You keep it but that just means you can open that door again.

If he sent you to the forest, he gave you the orb. If you don't have it (it shows up in your inventory in Lost Central Station) then what probably happened is that you restored to before the cutscene.
