Can't. You need to clear the inside first. If you clear the outside first, you will need to kill the brain. If you kill it, you will be trapped. The only way out is by clearing the level. If you go outside to inside, you will drop all trapdoors, forcing you to stay in the inside. Thus, you need to clear the inside First.
