I don't know why, but Liff and Angrim have stopped speaking with me. They respond as if I had the cursed ring, except it doesn't play the strange sound.
I had this problem early on, but then it seemed to go away. Now it's back, and I can't figure out what's causing it.

Do you actually have the cursed ring, though? Maybe quit and reload and check your inventory? The cursed ring acts weird with save files.

It's not in my inventory, and everyone else can talk to me just fine. The first occurrance happened before I'd even gone to Svartelhem.
Still, maybe I'll go grab the cursed ring again and see if that'll clear things up.

If you don't hear the sound and it's not in your inventory, then it's not the ring. There's another reason

So it's not a bug? That's good to know. I'm not sure what else could be causing it, especially since it went away before, but I'll see if I can figure it out.
Just to clarify, there is a way to get them to stop being mad at me, right?

This is starting to bug me a little bit, because I can find no explanation on why they're mad at me. They don't tell me anything themselves, and I've asked everybody I can about bout characters.
I want to figure this out on my own, but I simply can't find anything to work with. I don't want answers, but at this point, I wouldn't mind a hint on where to start looking.

All I can think of is,

If you told Liff to quit bugging Lithrasir, she doesn't want your flowers, then he might be a little mad about it. Did you tell him that?

Angrim likes stories and can talk to you a few times for each story you tell him. Eventually he stops talking to you until you have another story. If you run out of stories, he'll run out of interest talking to you.

No, I haven't told Liff anything like that, and Angrim has a different line for when he wants a story.

Thank you. I thought I had done something specific to piss them off (which really confused me, since I don't see what those two have in common). I would have spent agest trying to figure that out.
