Somebody else must have noticed this, but I can't find any posting:

If I immediately press backspace (undo in windows) after I have died i am resurrected. Is this intended?

I have the impression this works if I press undo while the death sound is being played. Note that the sound may be en explosion.

I am running the latest build on Windows 7 64 bit.
However, i seem to to remember that it also works on XP.

Yep, it's intended.

Beethro has already died more times than any of us can count, so permadeath is not exactly a needed abstraction.
