A small demonstration of Halph puzzle potential. Various uses of Halph I've personally never seen done before. Pretty tricky if you're not familiar with Halph, otherwise - little fun diversion.

Don't hesitate to use H&S if you're stuck :)

Thanks to vinheim and disoriented for playing it while it was in Architecture, and thanks to TFMurphy and CuriousShyRabbit for HA-reviewing it.

Yep. This is pretty tricky for those who do not know everything about Halph, I would imagine that is a lot of people for varying reasons, but the hold still is pretty fun. I have not completed any of the five rooms though the four required puzzles do appear to be lynchpins.

Due to that, grab your swords, have a quick chat with your nephews, and start delving into this hold! Even if you cannot solve the puzzles, you can get an appreciation/inspiration of/from them. Plus, like CSR said, the setting is pretty.

So,

Just as a question, -- not related to the hold -- why do we call realization puzzles lynchpins when this is what they are? My guess is that the puzzle hinges on something that prevents it from being immediately revealed, but once you figure it out, "break the lynchpin" as it were, the wheel of metaphorical implementation spins off the axle and the puzzle is quickly solved. Thoughts?

1. You've missed the link on that page with "Look up linchpin in Wiktionary, the free dictionary."

2. Look up "Lynchpin" in the file "lastword.html" in your computer and read it.
