icon The Sixth Annual People's Choice Awards - Vote Here! (+7)
:w00t It's finally time to vote for the winners of the Sixth Annual People's Choice Awards!

:thumbsup Some truly wonderful holds were published in 2009! There's something for everyone here. There are short holds, long holds, puzzle-based holds, story-based holds, tricky holds, relaxing holds, decorated holds, minimalistic holds. The best of each type is included in this ballot. If you've only got limited time to play DROD, these are the holds to play.

:cool Creating a great hold is a process that requires cleverness, creativity, artistry, a sense of humor, patience, persistence, and a love of the game. In 2009, our forum's architects gave all these things to create new holds enjoyed by our community. And if architects didn't keep creating new holds, we wouldn't even have a community here. Please take some time to reward them, by voting for your favorites.

O:- Architects are expected to vote for themselves, unless they've got really, really, really good reasons not to. Remember, once you push the "vote" button at the bottom of the poll, you can't go back and edit your choices, so please double-check your selections. And, no clicking "view results" without voting, please! You have two weeks to vote.

:yes Go on, be the first voter! You know you want to!

I wanted to shout "FIRST!!!!" for being the first to vote... but I guess I'm not first to vote.

First to post isn't too bad, I guess. ;)

Anyway, I thought all of these holds were quite excellent, but I decided a certain few stood above the rest. These ones were the ones I cast my vote for.

You go guys! Keep making great holds! :thumbsup

2009 was a great year, overall, I believe, as all years have been in this community. We received a lot of new holds from both old and new talent, got new Smitemasters' Selections made from a Rheb hold and a Jason hold, and managed to get a new collaborative effort out.

I'd like to make a shout out to anyone who managed to beta-test or alpha-test any of these holds while they were in architecture. While it's nice to have a hold published, it's equally important to receive valuable feedback from people playing through the holds so that they can be improved into such a state.

Well done everybody, and continue forward! :)

(Also vote, like I did, since it's cool to do so and you can affect the outcome!)

This is awesome! A bunch of people stepped up to be the first voters. :thumbsup

But we need everyone to vote in order to have the people's choice.

Who's going to be brave enough to vote next? Come on, I know you're thinking about it, isn't now as good a time as any? :smile

Um... yeah. I voted there as well.

I'm still surprised I was even nominated for Lifetime Architect Award... maybe I'm looking down too harshly on my previous endeavors...

Wow, what an interesting race! First, it looked like we had one set of winners; now it looks very different. Several of the categories are now tied between two possible winners. If you haven't yet, please vote! Everyone's vote counts, and even one week into the voting, your vote still makes a difference! :thumbsup

There's one week left to vote!

Oh and please, don't press the "view results" without voting button. You don't have to vote in all the categories, but you can certainly vote for something!

:bike Two days left to vote!

Come on over and support your favorite 2009 holds! There are still some very close categories, including one absolutely amazing 4-way tie! Your vote could be the deciding factor!

:hooray If we get a winner in all the categories, we'll have the big Awards Ceremony on Tuesday.
:book If not, we'll do a tiebreaker poll.

We have an easy shot at forcing a tie-breaker round for at least four of the questions. Don't disappoint me!

Edit: Oh, right, the Rabbit also loves tie-breaker rounds. Don't disappoint her either.
