Once upon a time, I starting making a hold. Then I stopped. But, with a large amount of free time approaching, I decided I should start up again and finish it. Several things from previous versions have been removed or reworked, and I've put together what is hopefully 3ish okay levels. There are still levels after them, but they're from an earlier time, and may be subject to change. Also, if you played this in times gone by, start a new game and delete your demos, since most will be broken.

1s: can simply kill roaches and exit north. this would also cause the player to be stuck and need to restore.
rest ok

lvl 2
5s: can simply kill top queens then wait for briar to kill rest

rest including lvl 3 all ok

pretty easy, sort of fun dungeon i'd say.

Also, a few updates, with the updated version attached:

Lv1:1S now has a green sister gate to prevent exiting to the north
Lv2:5S now a has a monster behind the red door, the roots moved and more trapdoors added.
LvA:2S1E added.

Level A is reached from the southern stairs in Lv2:6S, for those wondering.

Hold Description: typo :“lastest” should be “latest”

Level 0 description:
- add period after “Better get going.” Add comma after The Queen is waiting,”
- typo: “then” should be “than”

Level 0
-1 N: speech needs a period at end of sentence
- 2N: periods at end of all sentences
- Not a big deal, but is Beethro supposed to be able to open the gate on his own? I was able to open it before the Queen did.
- Might be fun if the Queen had a bit more to say. Especially if she’s crazy. :) Just a thought.

Level 1 Description:
The way the sentence is phrased, it sounds like the guards use lunches to stop prisoners. Of course, maybe that’s the case. :D The first part of the last sentence is awkward. Maybe just , “Some of the rooms have presumably been built to act as traps for foolish prisoners.”

Entrance:
Nice.

1S
- Can still kill all roaches directly and exit to the north. Maybe a pressure plate at 19,2 that closes a gate behind you. Then put an orb/plate to the south, behind a green door, that will open it, if the player needs to return that way. Or do the same as you’ve done to the south exit: add a passage with a blue door.

- Green sister gate to the south will prevent exiting that way, as--unless I’m missing something--when the room is conquered as intended, you can’t take a roach down with you.

Otherwise, the room puzzle is pretty good. Will comment more as I progress. Can't move forward until the exit is fixed. I suggest you make the hold "Anyone Edit" during testing so that we can continue in cases like this.

Now it is impossible to exit south because the sister gate closes when the last roach is killed and you have no way of bringing a roach down with you without leaving one of the yellow doors closed.

I suggest replacing the sister gate with a south pointing force arrow and adding another south arrow in the northern corridor, with a blue gate bypass like the south corridor has. This should fix the backtracking problem without making the room unsolvable.

Also, in the Level 0 secret room, add a checkpoint to the pressure plate by the tar.

I am idoit. I confused 1S with the similar secret room, which has a roach south of the doors.

Fixed version attatched at the top.

I suggest you remove all attachments and just keep replacing the attachment at the top of the thread w/ the latest version.

I've now finished the (accessible parts) of the hold. I conquered all the secrets and conquered the hold, but according to the restore screen I’ve only explored 90% of A Pumping Station and 40% of Secret System. I’m guessing those are currently inaccessible rooms behind the blue door in PS and the obstacle wall in SS? I’m attaching all my demos since I know it can be helpful to review them. Let me know when you’ve downloaded them and I’ll remove them.

Got demos.
Anything blocked by obstacle walls is getting work at a later date. The Blue door in Lv. A hasn't got anything behind it yet, and probably won't until Level B exists.

I'll go over the typos and scripting problems for the next release, thanks for going through the effort to record them. Also, I put in some explanation for lack of guards. They probably all ran away.

I'll take your comments into account. Checkpoints will be added, and Level 1 will get some extra spice. I've got a few alternate monsters for the secret room that I'll try, and the maze will get something.
