This hold is something of a mixed bag.

There are a couple of extremely easy rooms, but still enjoyable.

There are a few fairly tough efficiency puzzles.

There are several rooms with really fascinating solutions, and I mean that in a good way. I won't talk about the tricks involved or even point out the rooms, because I think that discovery is part of the fun here.

However, there are a couple of rooms that seem to require such fine-grained monster manipulation that, well, frankly I didn't feel like I was solving the room, I felt like I was learning the combination to a lock. Rooms like this do not make me happy.

The hold has an open layout, so you can tackle any room at any time, and I think that it is absolutely worth playing. However, the presence of the rooms above keeps me from giving the hold as a whole as high a rating as I would otherwise prefer.

That said, I think this hold deserves a 7 for fun and 7 brains. (The hold minus the two rooms I don't care for is probably an 8 or 8.5).

Josh
