I suspect it's that he seems to have used so little of his disk space.
The disk bar actually monitors hard drive activity, so nope. The line that Tuttle picked up was unintentional by the way.

Need a hint?

But that one across the bottom which wiped out part of the sidebar's border wasn't, right?

Well, this is my desktop...

Yes, before you ask, I'm an obsessive perfectionist.

If you look closely, you'll see that even the dock is in order:

Finder & Dashboard (Systemy apps),
iLife and creative apps,
Stickies (in a category of its own),
Mail, Address Book & iCal,
Games (used to have three or four there, now I only need the one...),
Video apps,
IM apps,
MS Office and TextEdit,
Picturey apps (yes, that is Appleworks you can see there),
Update apps,
and finally System Preferences.

Edit: Oh, darn. How embarrassing... Have now added the actual file.

Edit: Arg! File won't upload for some reason. Trying again...

I'm tempted to say "and now for someting completely different", but as most of you probably weren't around when Monty Python was, I'll just say that this is a bit plain compared to the others I've seen here.

(I must read the book to see if I can make a pretty picture on my desktop.) :unsure

@Tuttle
Well it's actually the fact that the line was showing at all (normally it's invisible unless it's selected), but I though I ought to insert something to draw attention to it.

Ah, well.

Exactly - there's no image attached to your post, nor is there an [img]-tag anywhere in your post... and no, it doesn't exactly help if you minimize your browser and tell us you can see your desktop just fine... :D

That, and those nifty stores that will actually sell you the whole of Monty Python's Flying Circus for a decent price... :D

(Is it just me, or isn't there an equivalent all-in-one solution available in the UK? It's not as if the German edition didn't have the original English audio and totally English menus, too... :huh If so, this version is highly recommended for the whole of Europe... :))

How big is it? Does the upload abort somewhere in the middle or something? In any case, a smaller file should upload more easily.

Also, just in case you didn't notice - don't hit the preview button on a post with an attachment or your attachment will vanish, unless you then hit your browser's back button to get back to your original post form.

EDIT: Oh, and you can try uploading again when you edit your post...

I have. Usually my files upload instantly (I love this computer), but in this case everything appeared fine, no error messages or anything, but the file hadn't actually attached.

I really hope this isn't the problem... but how large is this file you are trying to attach?

Thought I'd bump this up to post my desktop again, because it has changed quite a bit from what it was when I posted before. As you can see, I've got a lot more programs and desktop icons than before. I also switched to the XP theme since the classic theme was starting to feel dated to me. The background image is another one that I took, and it is from the summit of Mount Diablo in California.

BWAH! Is that for reals?

If so, awwwwwessssoooommme. Disorientating, though, because some stuff looks like icons without labels, and then there's some stuff that is just decoration, and so it's hard to tell what's real.

Say, what's with the Commander Keen icon? I own all the computer Keens (1 through 6 and Dreams) and I know I've never seen that.
Edit: F.A.L.L.O.U.T. has it too... hmm...

I can't post my own right now. The Altered Screenshots thing messed up my icon sizes for the session (Accessibility options do that to you) and I don't feel like restarting my computer yet.

Most of the time, yes. :)

Now if only I had bought another 1680x1050 monitor for my right hand side - that clunker I bought from Acer drops 1-2 frames every second, which makes it unusable for gaming and watching video (or rather, anything that moves)... :(
