Is it possible to enter at 1 and come out at 2?
Needless to say I have been trying & trying & trying!

It's been a while since I played this room, so I might not be right. As far as I know, you have to enter at 1 and go out the other path out the bottom. Then you can reenter at 2 and head out to the east.

Yes, Hawk is correct. If you check out 1E 1S in the Room Image insertion screen, you can see that the two bottom paths on 1E connect. So, yeah, do that.
