i've done everything the walkthrough says about killing the wizzard, use chime, get garaint to attack, get branwyn to throw dagger at charm but it doesn't work, what am i doing wrong

The order in the final chamber. Whether you saved Rhiannon is irrelevant for that particular battle.

You haven't said what exactly is going wrong for you, other than "it don't work". The timing is very much relevant there.

when i do everything from the walkthrough the wizzard turns garaint into a chicken, then branwyn into an animal then kills me when i throw my sword at the chime thing it bounces back and kills me.

You don't throw your sword at the chime thing. You don't have any skill with throwing knives. Who does?

i gave branwyn my sword ( i tried both) and she says to me "you better keep that"

ok i got it, i went back to a previous save and gave branwyn the right sword and i'm finished now.

What on earth makes you go from "the wizard" in a clearly defined context to some other completely unrelated random wizard, wonkyth?
