20W is impossible. Once you drop all of the trapdoors the brain and most of the roach queens are still inaccessible. Perhaps the eastern green door should be red.

Apart from that, its been really fun so far. All the joy of the first 20 levels of King Dugan's Dungeon squeezed into 10 minutes.

Hmmm, sounds like what Clayton did on the Rooftop and what Red Hawk did on one of his levels...the Commemoration one, whichever one that was. They were both different styles though, Clayton used and modified actual rooms from Dugan's, while Red Hawk just used the themes. I'll have to check this one out...at least once that problem has been worked out, at least.

Game on,

I see I still have a lot to learn about DROD even though I completed both Webfoot and Caravel versions. Many rooms seem just too difficult for me. (Onieromancer, your Treasure Hunt, level 2 is a good example. It has me completely bemused.) However, what's brought this on is room Octence West of this hold. Why am I finding it impossible to line up the the roaches at the right, yet have no problem whatsoever with the ones on the left?

I would probably find it really tough too if I hadn't made it myself. It's always easier to make a hard puzzle than an easy one, I feel, which is why good but not too difficult puzzles are hard to find. Actually, Eytan said once that he felt my hold wasn't too hard, but I think he was comparing it to Clayton's and Wesley's holds, and possibly his own.

But I'd be more than happy to post a demo for you on the room you are having trouble with, or now that we can post room images from holds in the Holds forum, go ahead and ask your question over there. Actually, I see now that you were having problems with the first room on level 2. Personally I think that is one of the hardest rooms in the entire hold, so don't feel too bad. A demo could help you out a lot I think. So, yeah, post over there again if you want some help.

Game on,

Ahhhhhhhh! Mind you, I'm still no wiser as to why the roaches at each side behave differently.

The first level was nice, even though I feel a little spoiled ;)

The second level pisses me off, especially the room where

That was level 8.

This seems like a pretty good hold, I'll play it at the first oppurtunity.
