That's right. :)

If you are using AE, it is easier to see through the tar. You can get the file here.

I renamed the file I downloaded to GeneralTilesBackup.bmp, copied the new file into the directory, and renamed it to GeneralTiles.bmp - ok? Not correct?
I opened DROD again, and the name at the top is now DROD:AE.

Make sure you're putting the new GeneralTiles.bmp in the DROD\\Data\\Bitmaps directory.

I have found the failure. Now I see the underground. But there is only one trapdoor. And if I step on this place, nothing happens. That was my topic question - now I don't know anything more.

Umm... Actually, there are 109 trapdoors. 108 of these run in bands through the tar. And it is not standing on the trapdoors that you want to do, it is walking off of them (so that they collapse).

You need to drop every trapdoor in the room (including the hidden one). After all the trapdoors have been dropped, the red door will disappear.

Edit: Looking at the attachment, you've already done that. Now you can go kill the wraithwing you couldn't get to before.

Ok, I am running into many rooms, like this one, that I have successfully gone through previously yet when I return the original tar is still there which requires a re-cutting of the tar to exit on the other side.

What's the story on this level? Why are rooms going back to their original tar levels even after you have gotten through? Do you have to clear all the tar is all the room so they won't fill up again? If so, that seems like a very severe penalty for this level as most of the tar room require a printed map to get back through.

Stable tar always reverts when you reenter a room. A few levels in KDD are thus fairly painful to negotiate if you don't do them in the correct order.

(If you think this is bad, wait until Level 15.)

Please,has any kind soul got a demo for this room.I've been on it for ages,and can't seem to find the correct way to do it. I have found the secret trap door,but cutting my way out is a nightmare. Thanks in advance.

I have one for KDD2.0, but since you have CaravelNet I assume you're not playing the original KDD, right?

(Come to think of it, that demo is horrible... let me just improve it a bit... there, that's better...)

Yeah, seems that when the makers of these puzzles come up with such evil setups, the only way to beat them is to cheat back! :lol
