However, DROD isn't noticing that I've done level 5 (and didn't skip to level 6), even after completing both levels 4 and 5 and saving on the checkpoint in the stair room.

This is frustrating, as I have no wish to play through DROD again (even level 5, which I wasn't a fan of), and I suspect it's a bug.

I really, really should have finished the game in 1.5, but nooooooo, I had to test the ending.

Attaching your zipped data files (all three .dat's) would help me to look at this bug. After you do this (in order to reproduce your bug), check whether you played through 5:2N2W. In any event, restoring and playing through just this room again should be a quick way to fix what I think you're seeing.

For reference, I've discovered that Beethro will talk about his experiences on level 5, but not level 6. Also, I'm seeing the crash on level 7's playback.

Hmmm...the .dat file format's been changed again and I'm not able to check your files at the moment. Build 30 should be coming out tomorrow. If these problems are still present in build 30 (you're using build 29, right?) could you repost your data files again? Then I'll be able to fix this. Thanks.
