Hi!

I just downloaded this game earlier today, and it's quite enjoyable. It takes a bit of getting used to all the elements, considering they're mentioned once in a tutorial level, and then you're seemingly expected to have all of their properties mastered.

Anyways, what I'm really posting this about is the "hard mode", and most everything related to it.
Specifically:
1. How does it decide when I've "mastered" the level?
2. How do I know what is required before it decides I've mastered the level (in general)?

On A-mazing (or something like that) I collected every gem on the level and got to the red exit (seemingly the only one), but still have not mastered it.

It also has to be done within a certain amount of time.

1. You must meet three criteria:
- you must get all the gems
- you must find the red exit
- you must do it within the time limit
If all three have been met, you will have mastered it.
2. If you are currently on easy mode, and you meet the three criteria, you will master it on hard mode anyway. If you are currently in hard mode (only accessable once you reach the 2nd rank - a certain amount of levels must be completed), the time limit and gem limit will be displayed, and you will not be able to go through the easy exit.

1. You must meet three criteria:

Every level has a certain gem amount that you have to collect on easy and a certain gem amount that you have to collect on hard. This doesn't always mean every single gem.

If you're playing on hard (press tab in level changing screen), you'll see how many more gems you'll have to collect to master the level. The other requirements still apply as well.

I meant the gem limit. And you can only access 'Hard Mode' if you have gone up to the 2nd rank.

Ok - thanks. I guess I have to beat a few more levels before I can even start thinking about mastering them. :)

However, I did find the "secret level" on the first row (the one that shows up at the end of the row on the map), and I beat that incredibly slowly and still got the indication that I had "mastered" it - and I certainly had not pressed anything to change to hard mode!

You can master levels even if you haven't unlocked the hard mode as long as you meet the requirements. Playing in hard mode lets you see what you have to do in order to master the level.

And Stew Boy, I figured you probably mean that, but wanted to make sure that it won't be misunderstood.
