King Dugan's Dungeon 2.0 : Third Level : 1 South, 1 West (0)

How do I get the western roach out of its room? I can force it to move east by getting behind it by going to the extreme NW/SW but it gets stuck in the opposite corner I move it to.

For pretty much any non-secret KDD 2.0 room, there will be many hint threads found by searching under King Dugan's Dungeon instead. For this room, I count 5. Try those out and see if the answer is given.

Well I did try several search parameters and carefully searched the pages of results and didn't find what I was looking for. Guess I'll keep looking then....

Hmm, I don't understand what the problem is. Click on Search/New Topic in the Hints & Solutions forum. Choose King Dugan's Dungeon from the dropdown hold list. Choose Third Level, then click on 1S 1W. Isn't that how you made this thread, but you chose King Dugan's Dungeon 2.0 instead of the original?

However, none of the replies help with what has become the "optional challenge" in the game: only hit the SW orb once. Are there any hints as to how to do that?

Perhaps you can keep the west roach queen from even going towards the enclosure in the first place.

Yup, worked it out in the end. It was where to station the wall of roaches, and more importantly which square said wall should stop the queen on :-)
