If anyone is interested, NetBeans 5.0 has finally come out with a full release. It is free and, in my opinion, works very well.
If you don't want to download the huge installation file, they will mail you (free of charge ~ and you do NOT have to pay the shipping either) the program.
They have a new layout called Free Layout, which acts more like other free hand layout managers. One drawback... it does take a good amount of RAM on your system, so I would recommed that you have at least 512MB of RAM.
Just thought that I would post it for anyone who is into Java development.

What is it ? The website 'about' page says:

"NetBeans is an open-source project dedicated to providing rock solid software development products (such as NetBeans IDE and NetBeans Platform) that address the needs of developers, users and the businesses who rely on NetBeans as a basis for their products."

To me, that basically says Netbeans is a SDK for people using netbeans.
