Ok, I found a pretty interesting game called The Battle For Wesnoth. It reminds me a lot of Heroes II back in the days (though, it's not exactly the same). There is a heavy luck factor (i.e. to hit units depending on what tile they are on: water, mountain, grassland). Daylight and Night time bonuses to different kind of units (lawful (+25% damage at daylight, -25% at night and chaotic(the opposite of lawful) and neutral units are not affected by thoose). 6 races, nice graphics, good music, there is even a official FREE online server and the developers support the game (make patches, improve graphics etc.) Try it! :D

Speaking of Wesnoth, I did a couple of the graphics for it. I did one of the squid frames, and the jungle hut.

It's good for people with simple needs. There are hardly any differences between units except hp, damage, number of attacks, speed. Quantity over quality.

edit: and the graphics are ugly.

Oh, /thank/ you, b0rsuk, it's appreciated, really.
--If you don't like 'em, try to do your own. Really. Looks like I did both the ink attack and the tentacle smack for the octopii, though, and there's a lot more than what you're saying there is.

Also this game is hilarious on internet multiplayer. Just so you know.

You're welcome.
I didn't know you made all the graphics. My own graphics ? Search for 'b0rsuk' in wesnoth changelogs. I had some interesting ideas for the pillager, but no, +2 (or sth) fire damage is the peak of creativity over there.

I know I'm no one to say this and I should say nothing, but I think you were a bit too harsh, b0rsuk. (No offense intended)

I'll try the game when I have some spare time.

Note: I like the graphics, that manga-pixelated style [at least the ones in the screenshots in the webpage].

Meh, it's simple. And simple is good, because it means the multiplayer games go faster. It's like...have you ever played Cossacks? That's a 2 and a half hour game, if you've got 2-3 people.
