For a while, I thought that the only level above "delver" was "Legendary Smitemaster," AKA Admin. Now I see the rank "smiter." What is it?

Well, this seemed to be the one thing people wanted more than anything in the forum - more user levels. So I went ahead and added a few, based on a suggestions of a couple users. And maybe, just maybe, there's a level or two that nobody is at yet.

Your goal is clear.

But won't those levels show up at the bottom of the screen in the list of which levels can post? :D :devil

My definition of a smiter:

Somebody who does the dirty work in the dungeon, much more respected than a mere delver, who looks at the monsters and says "you need a smiter".

Kind of like the IRS. They say "You have bad financial practices. Get an accountant/accounting firm." And the smiter is this accountant.

smiter=accountant.

Actually, that doesn't sound all that great...ignore this whole post.

I think zex is just making pointless posts trying to get his post count up.

Hmm is that what I am doing too.

Very clever...as soon as mrimer hit 500 posts, he became a Smitemaster, and then Smitemaster appeared at the bottom of the screen. I bow to your forum superiority.

:D

Um, "smitemaster" has been down there since the new labels have been added.

Why isn't Mike a legendary smitemaster, anyway? Is he being punished by Erik for some of the bugs in the beta? :P

Shhhhh.... :)

Mike's much too busy fixing DROD bugs to be bothered with fixing website stuff. The original plan was to have just two Legendary Smitemasters, to make it easy to account for who did what. Then I came along and screwed that plan all up, offering to take over the forum code.

Oh, I thought everyone with an official capacity is a legendary smitemaster. Is it only the web people but not the developers?
