These serpents are driving me crazy!
I know that serpent movement has some basis on Beethro direction, and 5xturn counts, but it's totally gone past me how to predict their movements.

Any help? Sanity alert?

You too? I. Hate. Serpents. If you are up to the challenge, Penthouse might be good: it is filled with serpent puzzles, though many of these are tough.

A couple of hints on how serpents move:

Thanks for the tip - maybe some practice will ease the pain :)

One of the best ways to learn basic monster movement (especially for the complicated ones like the serpents) is to make situations for yourself in the editor. You can test out all sorts of things, and maybe things will be more obvious in a controlled environment.

Probably one of the more useful things for serpents that isn't necessarily obvious is that if they are moving away from you, and you are in the same column or row as their head, they will continue moving in that direction until they hit something that forces them to turn. This can be used to direct them into dead ends and the like.

Game on,

Hi there,

I'm still stuck on this one :(. The last snake in the top right drives me crazy. I think I have to lure it into the westernmost part of that "island", but how?

Seems to me that if you don't mind taking the extra moves, that you could just backtrack to the island to the west and line yourself up with the serpent so that it goes into the dead end. Of course, you'll need to get in there to hit the orb to open the door first, but then you can run away and kill him from afar.

Game on,
