Some people may consider this to be sloppy hack and slash, but I consider the War series to be some of the higher quality hack and slash holds. I found this one to be a bit easier than some of your others, but it's an enjoyable diversion nonetheless.

Can somebody explain his holds to me? I keep feeling I'm missing some giant joke when I read the scrolls.

I think one of them was an Arrested Development reference, but judging by statterbrained nature of these holds, I don't think they have any greater meaning.

the rest is really nonesense in the 'retro' spirit of this game
design.

another comment, if they designed some 'dynamic brain' icon that
causes enemies not to wait for the next turn this game could be
like supaplex/boulderdash. if they added stones it could be sokoban

Okay, so it's designed to be like old NES games in that manner.

Okay!

Man, though, these rooms are crazy. It's more disturbing how they're all solvable.

None too bad, though I can't say I'm particularly fond of those scrolls. This one was *rather* easy (with the earlirst rooms being the hardest of the lot), but fun still.
