I was just thinking, now that we all have the level editor, we can make new challenges that involve editing existing rooms. I got the idea while playing Claythro's Tower. I was thinking, a challenge could involve editing 1N1E by removing the tar mother. That would make the room much harder. I haven't tried it yet though. I'm going to go through the original hold, thinking of ways to edit rooms to make them harder.

And 2 of my new rooms have been labeled as killers already...make sure you get v0.101, not v0.1, of Sam's Puzzles. The 1N and 1W are quite a challenge--and new concepts not before seen in DROD (though 1N is inspired by the fun puzzle on level 7, it is also quite a bit different).

I think it would be neat for someone to totally remake Dugan's Dungeon...rename it, "The Return Home." Basically keep every room's layout (almost) exactly the same, but redo the monsters, and go through it in reverse order. Of course this might wreak havoc with the storyline, but that's okay with me.

On the other hand, 25 levels worth of rooms is a lot of retrofitting...but it would be fun to see some of the famous early rooms with brains, tar, goblins, etc., in them instead of just roaches.

Game on,

I have some ideas for that -- only Erik's seen the plans -- but I'm not sure how good they actually are.

I've also brought up an idea of the "best of" judged by the higher-ups in DRODia, with basically copied and pasted best rooms from holds that we make. I think that would be really cool...and a HUGE challenge, and they seem to like the idea (of course after DROD is stable).
