This is the last room I need to clear on this level. Looking at the post in the architecture forum, I believe the idea is

But I just can't see how to do this - once both mimics are placed I can't move anywhere unless I strike the left orb and that renders the level impossible.

I'm sure the solution is simple but I just can't see it.

Help please!

Well, for starters, remember about the Trick. How can it help you?

So, your solution has to involve the Trick somehow. Do you see how you could use it?

And now a lot more straightforward (more or less direct spoilers):

Okay, the problem I have is once I'm in position to hit the orb that releases the roach, I can't move anywhere without hitting the left orb (which closes the entrance to the snake)

Indeed (*Wink, wink*), you cannot move. But must your mimics move around?

I can see that being the case if both mimics were in the centre of their 3 tile section, but once I can hit the orb they are both in the bottom square of the 3 and I can't move them up

You have the right idea, but I guess you are missing a lil something in your execution.

OK, I can get the roach into the snake's square, and I'm left with no snake, one roach, and no way to get to the roach . . . now what?

Presumably I need to get one of the mimics into the snake chamber as well, but I'm missing how that might be done. I have also tried one, two, and three "blank" moves to see if the position of the snake makes a difference - it doesn't.

Since dozens of people have solved this and I haven't, my self-image is at risk. Any hints?

{Edited} I was right, I was a moron. Figured it out - Geeze.

Thanks -

I wish different mimics could have different sword positions T_T

Once the first mimic guides the roach safely down 3 squares, the second mimic can't turn back fast enough.
EDIT:
Using the trick, I solved it now :D

PS: Is it intentional that the image for this room shows a completely different one?
