I log on to DROD.net, hoping to catch up on the latest issues, when lo and behold, it seems that many issues are marked as latest, even though they haven't been latest since August 15th. Every topic that has been updated on or after August 15th was marked as red.

Now, being a good confused little forum member, I've headed over to the The Site place, to let the people know of what's happened to me, and hope that somebody else can fix it, because even if I had the access, I do not have the ability.

This happened to me as well. I'm guessing Matt screwed up somewhere, because he was logged in when it happened...

I do believe I made a boo-boo. :?

There's not really anything I can do about it now... but it shouldn't happen again in the future. Sorry about that. :selftwak

Same thing here.

Today's active posts might be useful to someone.

Personally, I just check all posts with 09/07/05 as the latest date and mark all others as read.

I just marked all as read after making sure that there were no nuggets of brilliance I'd missed. And if there were, I'm sure I'd hear about them soon enough when they hold the parade.

I think Matt S. hit the "Mark all posts as red" button. :tomato

Well, in my case, it was just plain weird. All of the posts with new entries were marked as yellow, while random ones were marked as red. Weird.

This happened to me twice again this last week. What's up?

Anybody else have any problems with this? AFAIK, the unreads did not have any problems last week.

As far as I remember, I've not had any problems since the beginning of this thread. Definitely not on the last week, at least.

As of about 10 minutes ago, I marked all the Feature Request threads as "read", and then was rather surprised to find the 4th or 5th thread re-highlighted in red again (especially as it was yellow before).

Apart from that, I don't think I've seen anything else like that happening very recently.

It happened to me once last week, but I had already read all topics worthy of reading, so I just clicked "Mark all as read" and carried on with my life.

Gah. Didn't know people were still having problems.

I had attempted to change the unread management to be smarter about pruning the list to keep the size down. Clearly it had problems, so I've now reverted it to the old method.

I noticed a week or so ago that general was marked 'red' even though there were no unread messages in it..

A quick check to confirm, and a 'mark forum as read' moved it from 'red' to 'read' (how I pity those who are learning English!!)

That one's more well known. It was almost definitely a thread which was deleted or moved before you came to read the forum. The only way to get rid of the red folder in this case is to do what you did.

Game on,
