Hi all, I cannot figure out what to do, I always seem to have monsters that I can't kill on the plateau where the mud and tar was. I couldn't find a posting so I guess its just my brain that's befuddled.

Some useful door pointers:

Yellow doors drop or undrop when orbs are activated,
Green doors drop when all monsters in a room are killed,
Red doors drop when all trapdoors in a room are removed,
Black doors drop when all blocks of tar and mud in a room are removed.

I'm sorry - I asked completely the wrong question there! I was already able to drop the door. What I wasn't able to do was to complete the room. The original hint was exactly what I needed. Thanks!

Note that black doors are also affected by mud, so you must clear all tar and mud to drop a black door. I'm not sure if any room in Rooted Hold relies on that kind of thing, but...

But without killing the tar and mud babies, the room shows as not done & being the last room on the level, I can't move on. So how do you whack them little suckers in the island?????
