To be the first one to post for a particular room makes me think I'm the only one baffled. Come on guys! You know you just don't want to be first! After getting all the way thru level 6, and trapping the hook fella behind a gate to leave me alone at the stairs, how in the heck do you get the blob thingies to leave the top of the stairs?

You must be doing something stange... If you do not wait in a straight line with the golem closest to the stairs he will not block the stairs more then when you enter the room when you get to the passage of the stairs.

Challenge: Don't turn your sword

To heck with that! It can't be done!
I was certainly able to trick the Slayer into hitting some of the orbs for me, but it was more trouble than it was worth to even get so far...
And in any case, the corridors in the middle are too narrow to manipulate the wisp and get round that Reject Crusty without him turning the hook to me instead of the orb!

It's easier (and therefore still fun) the normal way!
