Just yesterday I sampled vylycyn's Sanctum 2 theme ingame, and I was amazed at how different but nice it made the game feel. Looking into my hard drive, I also found a couple of songs by a freelance composer who made the music to a game I enjoy a lot, and found that some of his songs fit into the "dark" theme of the style.

Now that I have an almost-complete style, it makes me wish that DROD would have a darker style in the next version. While a lot of colour is nice, the feel of his music along with the general darkness of the graphics gives the game a very interesting feel. And after all, it is a dungeon, and even just one style out of however many would still be enough to add some variety to the game.

I have changed most of the Ingame-Music with instrumental songs from 'Apocalyptica'. These guys from Finland are very good Cello-Players, but they don't play classical Music (of course, they could...), they play Metal and Rock. Their Music style is dark, but also absolutely perfect for DROD. (See www.apocalyptica.com for further information and Videos. 'Bittersweet' is my Intro-Music)

Good suggestion! I think it would be a good idea to put a darker style on DROD, for the next version, and show there some of the new monsters (if there are any).
