You're right. It's using a temporary player to do playtesting so that checkpoint saves don't interfere with actual play (since you can place your starting position anywhere, not just at a room entrance, this is a must or who knows whether the game will crash if you try to restore to the checkpoint later... I'll need to have it copy your player settings over to the temporary player when playtesting. It's in the bug DB.
