Am I missing something obvious here? You enter and leave at 1,2,or 3 but you can't drop one of the lines of doors, thus preventing the red gate opening.

What did I miss?

I'm aware of them, how does that help the problem? no matter how I move, I end up with a line of trap doors at the center orb.

I've tried a variety of different ways to handle the goblins, and in no case do I stay alive. With snake, without snake, before roaches, after roaches . . . no difference. A mimic would be really cool, but I can't simply wish one into existence . . . what's the trick to dealing with these nine monsters?
