(There are some forums out there that aren't very friendly to newbies, and will either insult them or ignore them until they've been around enough. I've always thought it was the height of stupidity doing that, myself.)

but a) thanks a lot for those points and b), truth is, I was only joking around about the roachling (in another forum I spent much time as a "slime"); it's my general attitude towards the traditional "degrading" terms for those of low rank
