Booster Logic is a pretty nifty game. It has two parts...Booster and Logic. Booster is a Thexder-looking robot who moves and jumps around these small rooms. You have to kill all the bad robots to leave the room, and collecting these pellets gives you 100% completion. Pretty simplistic platformer...nothing like N or Jumper but still fun.
Logic might be of more interest to this board. You play another robot, named Logic of course, and the rooms that Logic takes place in are top-down. The puzzles are very much like Chip's Challenge...you have to collect power cells, with boxes to move around, and enemies to avoid. Actually, it was more comparable to Adventure of Lolo (NES) in many ways...you get some special powers that help you cross pits and destroy the other robots. One interesting thing is that after you collect all the power cells, a red button becomes active. Pressing the button opens the room exit, but also is an alarm that can wake or deactivate other robots. Again, it's relatively simple, but still very interesting.
This game is shareware; there are 125 levels of Logic and 375 of Booster, but only 25 and 50, respectively, are available without registering. Which is pretty amazing, although I'm not sure if it has the full playability of DROD, without an editor.
Anyway, check it out!
Game on,
