I went on Linux just now to work on it a bit, finally installed the patch for JtRH on it and such, went to play it, but then realised that I was about 5 levels back of where I was last. That's when I got to thinkng of an option for use when you are offline or until CaravelNet can copy your progress from installation.

All you need is a little option in Settings that would export your player when you closed the game and saved it to the "Homemade" folder. Then, you can mount the drive in Linux and copy it over or copy it to a floppy for vice-versa. I imagine that it wouldn't be too hard to code in, but it would really save a lot of hassle when playing both versions.
