Start by awakening the eye at (22,16). Then conquer the room.

You can see the coordinates of a square by right-clicking on it.

The eye at (22,16) is the one looking south, but almost any eye will do, as long as it's awakened early on (it seems that you've essentially already completed the challenge). I just picked one of them for the challenge to avoid misunderstandings.

I managed to do it after a few tries Stefan, demo attached.

I am rationing my playing of JtRH to try and get the most out of it (currently on Level 11). Anyway, I have learnt a lot about the Slayer from this but there is still more to learn - knowing how to get him to halt for example.
