just once in a while at the track, no competing, i had thought about it, buts its £600 for a competition, and £100 for a track day, so when i can do 6 track days to 1 race, its track days all the way

Since my last post created a veritable up-and-down point war, I'm left with no mod points to give out...so it seems like the perfect time to post self pics in the event you mischievous, fickle people decide to down-mod me for them.

The only recent and decent pics I have are from a year ago. I tend to shy from the camera since I don't think I photograph all that well. Here are two of me and my fiancee (I'm the slightly girlier-looking one on the left side of the pic, Jewel is on the right):



And here's a couple from...I think this was Halloween last year. I went as Little Bo Peep:



This year I haven't suited yet, though I did wear an impromptu costume for our Halloween party last night. Unless you're a brony you're not likely to get it, though, so I included a reference first. In the Halloween episode of MLP:FiM from last weekend, popular background character Derpy Hooves (a scatterbrained pony with a lazy eye) wore this:


It's not entirely clear whether this was her costume, or some sort of an accident. Anyway, three of us who happened to dress in somewhat pony-referential costumes posed here (unfortunately, the telling cutie marks are not visible):


As you can see, I don't do derpface very well on command, and I didn't dye my hair or wear a blonde wig or anything crazy. But about half of our guests got the joke, so it worked well enough.

I'd have done more costuming this year, but I was too exhausted after staying up all night cleaning. I'll probably put something interesting on for the delicious neighborhood children who come by tomorrow night, though.

Hmm. None of this is likely offensive enough to get me in trouble... yet. Maybe I have another pic of a costume lying around here from a year or so ago I can post? Maybe clubbing, or Halloween, or something (not that I have much time for social stuff outside the house these days)...


...Jeebus. Let us never speak of this again. Deal?

So our dance team decided to give me the award for Best *Female* Hair. I'm pretty sure it's not entirely deserved (My hair may be nice, but there are people on the team with nicer hair. You know, actual *girls*). There was a physical prize to go with the award, too...

Before you guys make some other... only marginally appropriate jokes, let me point out two things:

1) The actual prize is the lovely blue flower you can see in my hair. I assumed it would have been obvious, but in hindsight, I could have been wrong.

2) Upon receiving aforementioned prize, I decided to make a series of photos of lots of people wearing it, because I had discovered that by some magical power, that flowers suits *everybody*. Hence I now have a bunch of pictures with the filenames "Blue Richard", "Blue Celine", etc. Hencethe file-name.

This was taken back in January, but I felt it was too good not to share. It is of me scuba diving off the coast of Poipu in Kauai, Hawaii, while staying on the island with my parents to visit relatives. This past fall semester I got open water scuba certified through taking a class offered at my college.
