I graduated from Weber State with my B.S. in Computer Science over two years ago. I had a hard time getting into the Software Engineering field because so many people are in this field where I live.
I have been working for a company for two years (since I graduated) doing Data conversions and a little programming once in a while. I really love the company and didn't want to leave... however, none of the developers want to quit. I can't get a job if there is not an opening.
Well, finally... my day has come. I have just been hired in my company as a Software Engineer. This may not mean much to any of you, but those that know me well will know that I have wanted to develop softeware as a full time job for a long time.

Ahhhh, finally get to start doing what I have been going through school for. The feeling is great!

Nice, Brad. Real nice!

It's a lot tougher now than it was say... 5 years ago, to find a software engineering job. Like 5 years ago, a few of those fellows would have career-hopped to other companies and left you an opening. Or some headhunter would have called you up and tried to entice you with a job offer somewhere else. Oh, those glory days of freakishly unbalanced demand for software engineers! Man, they sure spoiled me.

Anyhow, that's admirable that you stayed focused on getting into work that is interesting for you.

Thanks for the comments. And, to be the person to have you hit 300 points, I gave you a point. Also, because you are a pretty good guy and you did create a pretty good game. I guess that I am in the mood of looking good in front of other people... so, that could be another reason why I am telling everyone that I just gave Erik a point.
Also, I have had a hard couple of days. I am in IN right now and the airport delayed my flight and lost my luggage. I am in massive need of a pat on the back... and... to ramble... I am tired... that is why I am just going on like an idiot...
