I always wondered how other people made their text italic/make it bold/insert pictures - I normally just use the buttons for sheer ease, if at all, but that's just me.

I suppose when I feel adventurous, I do sometimestpye them out manually, but I don't normally.

And I suppose that last option is a bit uneccesary, but new users might just possibly see this and wonder what the smeg I am on about.

Well, I manually type it in for just italics, bold, underline, secret, and quote. But for links and pictures I'll use the buttons (the URL one especially saves me some time). And for the text size and color changes too. But since I rarely use the latter three, I guess I mostly type overall.

Here's another question...how many people have ever had problems using the Insert DROD Room Image thing to place numbers on the map, and then manually put the coordinates in and just hit Preview 15 times until you get it all right?

I type it most of the time - I find the fact that the buttons always insert the code at the end of the post, regardless of cursor position, irritating.

I always type out bold, italics, underline, secret, quote and urls. I use the others so infrequently that I don't even know what they look like, so I have to use the buttons for them.

Yeah, this has been broken on non-IE browsers for a long time. I went ahead and fixed it for some subset of non-IE browsers. Which ones, I'm really not sure. It works for me on Firefox.

My fingers are continually cold, which is strange, because my hands are always warm. That's normally why my spelling is often dodgy, and why I don't type more than the bare minimum.
