Bah! I can't for the life of me get snake 1 to follow the mimic down towards the bottom left hand corner. As soon as the mimic moves in front of the snake, the snake chooses to go north.

Help? Please?

I'm working on that room also. I've managed to get the snake to follow the mimic once, but I screwed up getting the mimic all the way to the far wall.

So the hint and the idea that I'm using is this:

Yeah, unfortunately I can't be of much help either - I always solve this room by trial and error. My suggestion - if you get there in a certain number of moves and the serpent goes north, try getting there in a similar number next time and letting the serpent run a lap once before going down there. That may put it in a different mood.

It also really, really needs a checkpoint. Sorry about that. The JtRH version of this room will have one (in JtRH mimics can trigger checkpoints, making life much easier for architects).

Well, I've tried every suggestion made, nothing's working. The serpent refuses to follow me down the eastern wall. Up to that point it's easy.
Please, if anyone has a demo to share, I'd so appreciate it.

I was on the wrong track. I had tried several times going the way your demo showed (the western wall), but I always ran out of serpent by the time I reached the bottom.
