A Courageous Rescue : Rapid Fortification : 1 North, 2 East (+1)

So unlike some of the Puzzle Annex rooms, which just stump me with the cutting of tar, this one seems a little sillier. Is there any way to get this potion? I have to leave Roachie behind in the previous room, so I can't drop him and grapple hook across to get past this door.

It sounds like you know the answer to this room, just not how to enter it in the correct game state. So I'd focus your efforts there.
