Differences Steam version/Website version? (+5)
Hello,
after having watched a few videos on DROD online (and getting a huge headache), I decided to give it a try. I'm quite liking the free demos online, and seeing that the games have an editor + an insane number of user-made levels, I thought after a few hours ok let's buy the full editions.
I have one problem though. Even after reading the introductory post that explains a few things, I'm still slightly confused on what to get.
The latest engine of the game seems to be Second Sky (and that's also the hardest and the newest title). Many recommend Gunthro and the Epic Blunder, but isn't that an older engine? Shouldn't I play the older titles on the newest one, since they are all backwards compatible?
Ideally, you'd have one game which "holds all your holds" and you play on that system, right? And to get to the topic title: I'd prefer getting the Steam version: is it any different to the ones from the website? Can they still connect to the subscription (I don't care about one now, but who knows in the future...)? I couldn't find any "complete" bundle in a nice package, because it seems the older titles were released as "DLC" for Gunthro & the Epic Blunder; so this one has everything except Second Sky it looks like?
Thanks for your patience
