It will be interesting to see how this works - I've no doubt that by now at least one member of each team would have written a program to work it out automatically, and I presume if the forum has no problem with being accessed many times in a small period of time then this round could be over within minutes of starting, either way..

Okay, since I didn't get enough hiding places, I chose some of my own to make up for those. Now let's decide on a time to start the hunt. I'm going to place the flags at 1 PM PST Saturday unless someone is strongly opposed to that. Basically, I feel like it's going to take us forever to choose a time, so it might as well just happen when it happens. I don't think this will be a quick challenge (especially because none of you will be using any "assistance"), so it won't be as much of a race as that other timed challenge we had.

So yeah, now's the time to voice your opinion, otherwise this challenge is going to start tomorrow.

I only noticed this after all posts were found too, but I guess I wouldn't have had much time to find the others, even if I had seen this before anyone else.

I clicked on 1 and 3 randomly to check where they were, and they turned out to be mine. Since I sent in 5 locations, I then immediately (and erroneously) assumed the rest were mine.

The same as Challenge #3! Remember that tablet challenge that never got completed? Well, now that we have fewer people and assuming that some people already have sections written, I think it'll be easier to come back to it.

If this starts to take forever again, I'll set a time limit. If by that time limit, one tribe has sections written by each member and the other tribe doesn't, the tribe with the entire thing written will win by default. If neither tribe has it complete by the time limit, I'll allow it to be written by fewer people.

It's gonna be fun to finally see this challenge play out. Good luck, and have fun!

(PS: It should also be noted that this is the last tribal challenge. That is, after one more person gets voted off, you all will merge into one tribe, and the second half of the game will begin. Start jockeying for position!)

Should I take this as "we've grown weary of your game and hence no longer wish to compete in your challenges" or as "your word limit is outrageous and I'll let the rest of my tribe pick up the slack"?

How about this. The first story I recieve from either tribe will be THE story from that tribe, regardless of how many people worked on it or how long it is. I'll give another 48 hours from the time of this post for that. PM me.

Also, if you're just tired of this game and don't want to play anymore, feel free to announce it and I'll remove you from the game. I'll adjust the rest of the game accordingly. But just so you know, after this challenge and vote the two tribes will become one, and we'll just be 5 rounds from the finale. The challenges will be more DROD related. The next challenge I'm planning will be a unique, but simple architecture competition which should be fun, but still extremely objective in its judging (that is, the winner won't be determined by a poll). So I hope you won't leave, but I'll be understanding if you do.

Anyhow, challenge. Step on it.

In my opinion, this isn't really my kind of a 'fun' challenge, its a cool idea but i'm not one for writing much like that.. anything involving drod or some other little forum game like the previous challenges and fun and easy to do. Not much thought required. Thats why I haven't gotten around to doing that challenge, but would do any others.

Well, as anyone on the testing team would know, I've been doing a lot of testing for JtRH recently, which has quite caused me to drop a lot of DRODistic things in favour of testing (for example, my prototype Architects' Toolkit); I haven't even checked in here for a while, and nearly forgot to vote in the Grand Audition Contest. However, I apologise for forgetting all about the DROD Survivor game, since it was supposed to be a sort of priority.

In reality, I don't have the time I'd thought I would have to play this game, especially now, so I guess I'll just drop out now to make it simpler for you.

Okay Agaricus, thanks for playing!

I guess we'll just scrap this challenge again (I should have learned the first time) and we'll move right along. That means that the seven of you remaining have made it to the merge! You're all now one big, happy tribe.

Immunity challenges from this point forth will be individual, not tribal, and the next five people voted out will make up the jury, and will ultimately decide the winner.

If you guys want to come up with a new tribe name, feel free, and I'll throw it on the first post of this thread. I will hopefully have the next challenge up late tonight, and it won't time based. I'll do my best to not make it terribly demanding.
