In Fetch the pie, at the beginning of level 8 (see attached screen) there is a cut scene. Once the scene ends, an image of the player remains, like a character, and it does not disappear if I change room or level.
In Alex Diener's let's play, this does not happen, so I assume it is a graphic issue related to the current RPG version? (1.2.10.802).

I opened up Fetch the Pie in a debug build so I can edit it as if I were the author.

There is a scripted version of the player that performs all the actions involved with swimming in the water etc. while the actual player is invisible. This is all before the room transition to the other level entrance in the same room.

The character does not have any sort of end command or disappear at the end of the script, so it just stays there. And why wouldn't it, room states persist in RPG.

The real question is, why did this not happen in Alex's playthorugh? Was it on an earlier beta build of the hold? I see nothing about engine changes that would cause this, the bug lies in the hold's scripting.

I looked at the version available in RPG architecture before changes were made during HA review, and the scripts are the same.

Only thing I can think of is that entering the room on top of a character may have originally destroyed it, but now it doesn't, and this changed at some point since any of the engine updates since 2016. Entering the room on top of a monster kills the monster in classic DROD. In RPG visible characters aren't all monsters, they can be invincible NPCs if they have no health, I assume this is what's happening here, at some point they were killable via this means, now they aren't.

This would be best fixed by a hold update.
